the Almeria house
sleeps max. 11 people prices from just 750 euros per week
Our five-bedroom house is set in its own eight acres of terraced land, with wonderful views down towards the coast below and easy access to the mountains above. The farmhouse is in a serene location among almond and olive groves - fresh air and utter peace and quiet away from the packed “costas”.
communal areas:
the long room upstairs stretches the whole width of the house. At one end is the cosy sofa area with TV/DVD/VCR/Stereo and board games. There is an extensive and varied DVD & video collection.
the downstairs library with sofa is full of fiction and reference books in English, German and Spanish and some guide books and maps for guests to borrow during their stay.
bedrooms: the house has five bedrooms. Downstairs there is one double and one twin room. Upstairs there are two doubles and one triple room (with one single and one double bed). Each room has ample storage space in wardrobes and/or drawers.
bathrooms: there are full bathrooms with bath tubs on each floor. Both bathrooms are beautifully tiled and have some original features.
kitchen: the kitchen is fully equipped with all the pans and pots, plates and cups and glasses you could need. There are gas hobs and ovens, microwave, toaster etc. There is also a washing machine and a dishwasher. The kitchen has a solid handmade table with benches so the whole family can sit together.
outside areas: the main terrace directly in front of the house has the 10x5 metre swimming pool. Wide shallow steps across the whole width of the pool mean you can get in and out easily and lie in shallow water. There are plenty of other places to relax even when with a big group. At the back of the house is a walled patio with citrus trees and a large shaded area. Next to the entrance of the walled patio is the large built -in BBQ. There are fantastic views from all of the terraces around the house - great for star-gazing or watching the sunsets. The house is NOT overlooked and is very private. The small patio by the kitchen door is a nice place to have breakfast or sit and read a book in the shade in the afternoon.
The house has no central heating, but there are two log burners and a number of small electric heaters for winter stays. All the windows are fitted with traditional wooden shutters which help to keep the summer heat out.
Parking: there is plenty of space to park a number of cars right by the house. The house is very private set in its own large plot.
Internet: the house now has broadband (wireless and free)
Bedding is provided, but please bring your own towels.
Mid-stay cleaning can be arranged at a charge.
The house has an iron and ironing board.
